2025 York Women's Baseball Friendly Game - Monday, Sep 29/25
Let’s Make History!
Hello York Baseball Community,
We’re thrilled to share exciting news — a York RiverDogs Women’s Team is in the works!
Liz (mom to Lucas Bouma & 11U Select coach) is leading the charge, and the goal is to assemble a women’s team to compete against rival Annette and Royal York baseball leagues in 2026. To make this happen, we need at least 14 players.
We know parents juggle busy sports schedules with their children, so the commitment is designed to be flexible. Games require 9 players, but with a strong roster, we can still play even if not everyone can attend.
The Royal York women’s team typically plays 1 game and 1 practice per week, or sometimes 2 games. Occasionally, it may be just 1 game or 1 practice. For the York RiverDogs, we’ll aim to mirror that schedule to keep things fun, consistent, and manageable.
Here’s the best part: you don’t need to be an all-star to join — you just need the desire to play! Whether you’ve never played or haven’t picked up a glove in years, this is your chance to get on the field, meet great people, and be part of something new!
York Baseball is hosting a friendly women’s baseball game, likely mixing players to keep it fun and casual. This game will help us determine if we can move forward with forming a team for 2026.
